The T-Birds start the 2021-22 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, October 2, at 6:00pm at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The first Coach’s Show this season will air on 1090 KJR on Thursday, September 30.Īs part of the partnership agreement the iHeart Radio stations in Seattle will be heavily involved with the T-Birds promotional and giveaway nights this season. The Coach’s Show will also feature Beuning talking with WHL and NHL connected hockey guests. The Coach’s Show will be hosted by T-Birds play-by-play voice Thom Beuning and will take a weekly in-depth look at the team.
The Coach’s Show will be heard every Thursday during the season from 7:30pm to 8:00pm. Most of the Thunderbirds games will be broadcast on 1090 KJR, be sure to check the T-Birds website for the most updated schedule.ġ090 KJR will also continue to broadcast a half hour weekly Coach’s Show with T-Birds head coach Matt O’Dette. “We are excited about the opportunity to continue our partnership with iHeart media and join the Kraken on the iHeart family of stations,” said Colin Campbell, T-Birds President.
